Develop research projects to generate, integrate and apply new knowledge in the discipline field using relevant theories and methodologies in an objective manner, ethical, responsible and honest.
In the first course “Topics on contemporary worldview for research”
taught by Dr., I have learned to examine certain theories with objectivity while being a Christian and a scholar. Christians learn from family, church, society, friend, and educational institution to be trustworthy in everything. Sometimes, some of them are confused about right and wrong, ethical and unethical, moral and immoral. Moreover, our biblical principles make it clear about it acceptable and unacceptable, permissible and impermissible to do as Christians. Throughout the Biblical stories, we have read the biblical story of a lady by the name of Rahab who lied to the authorities of her country to save the life of Israelites spies. Some individuals may argue that it was the best appropriate behavior to adopt during that stressful situation and others may see it in different perspective. In order to understand whether or not her behavior towards both the spies and the messengers of the king of Jericho was ethical, we will look at the inspired book, the writings of Ellen Gould Write, and the academic works of some other scholars.
